PS...where the hell is everybody getting their cute lil avatars?!
Tell me now!!
12:10 pm - Whoa, writing in this journal again...
Haven't written in this thing for a long while...but then again haven't really had the time for it...and occasionally haven't had the damned internet. =P
Anyway, not much going on in my life at the moment. Alan gets paid today so I get to go grocery shopping and do all the finances. If we save a few hundred from this paycheck, we'll be fine and dandy for the rent next paycheck. ^.^ He worked 96 hours in the last two weeks so he should have a *ton* coming from this paycheck. Sweet. Groceries yay! New socks yay! Some new clothes for Emma yay!
I really wanna become a better housewifey poo type person...you know...like crafts, saving money, cutting coupons, etc., but I'm really a dumbass when it comes to all that stuff. And I have no clue why the hell I'd wanna be lil miss housewifey-poo anyway. I just have this insane urge. Help me. I even borrowed a Southern cookbook from my gramma! O.o My insanity is leading me to making Baked Alaska. O.o
And what the hell, why am I getting zits? >.< It's really starting to piss me off.
Everybody run, don't walk, to Bath and Body Works cuz they're havin a sale! Buy the Skin Conditioner in your favorite smell for only $5! It's awesome...you use it after you use soap in the shower then you rinse it off. My skin doesn't get dried out now!

09:27 pm - Hi hi!
Numlaenau is now 55 seasons. =D One more season until MGB mod rod (ooooh, mod rod whore ;P) Anyway, she's now divorced from the ranger and her full name and title is now Baroness Numlaenau Helbound. Nope, notta remarriage, she's just a Helbound sister. There's 7 or 8 Helbounds now hehe. Anyway, still haven't thought of a damned story for her =P Go me!
Agh, gotta think of some way to make 70K plat. Anybody wanna donate? =P I wanna keep the Robe of Azure Sky that she's wearing. Super nice robes :) Hard to find. Available to me at half-price via one of Nummie's Helbound brothers. *sighs*

04:53 pm - Brain is stuck
Okay, for my role playing House on Everquest, I gotta come up with a background story for my chica. One problem, I'm totally duh-ing on it.
A Dark Elf Magician named Numlaenau Oiolaire of 43 seasons. Married to a half elf ranger of 46 seasons named Duamil Oiolaire. I've got the jist of her story of the recent times, obviously, but I'm trying to think up a birth story for her. She's not the typical Dark Elf chick. She's KOS (Kill On Sight) in her own hometown because she killed a bunch of her own people's guards. (Hey, if they were weak enough for her to kill, then they shouldn't have been guarding her town. In the Teir'dal [dark elf] society, the weak are eaten alive.)
You're The Sound and the Fury!
by William Faulkner
Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips
with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue,
but you're mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you've lost. People often have a hard
time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant
anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

07:30 am - ack!
I haven't written in a vewy, vewy, vewy loooooooooong time.
Shame on me!
All my free time has been sucked up by Everquest. I can't get enough of it. It scares me. It thrills me. *giggles*
So, if anybody cares or knows what the hell I'm talking about, here's an update on my char:
Her name is Numlaenau Oiolaire. She is a Dark Elf Mage in her 41st season now! *proud grins* She joined the Dark Tormentors guild and found a Half Elf Ranger man and ran off with him when she was 20 or so.
Anyway, yup. Yup yup. BOred and tired. WHat a weird combination.

01:00 am - Now, for the flipside of being a female gamer.
Once again, hi, my name is Tara and I'm an Everquest addict. I have a level 11 Dark Elf Magician on the Firiona Vie server.
Abbreviations and possibly confusing words for the following text:
EQ = Everquest
FV = Firiona Vie
DE = Dark Elf
House = Clan
Mage = Magician
Drow = DE
If you read my LJ, then you know that my previous posting was about Diablo II being the pre-pubescent male caca-flinging playground. Now read about the light side of the moon.
On FV, roleplaying is preferred. No, I'm not talking about "you're the naughty nurse and I'm the patient that needs a sponge bath", although I have seen similar situations occur there. I'm talking "I'm a DE so I hate you all, and won't hesitate to stab anybody in the back--even member of my own race."
Just like Diablo II, on FV, racism runs rampant. However, the racism and hatred here was pre-built into the game and it's not about real people.
[The storyline (or what may be better termed as a "very loose storyline") explains it, and is available online I believe, but at this hour I don't feel like finding it. I will post it later.]
Politeness and manners are encouraged and sometimes necessary. I haven't heard this many please's and thank you's since my mother was desperately trying to teach me manners when I was 5 years old. (Sorry ma, it didn't work out too well, but it's not your fault, I swear!) People bow before others.
Now, this is not to say that everybody should be trusted and will behave nicely. Remember this is a role-playing server and with forces of "good" would be non-existent without the forces of "evil". But in the very young life of my dear Mage, I have NEVER EVER EVER heard the words fag, stupid jew, bitch, or rape that bitch. EVER! When I grew especially weary of Diablo II, I will switch and play some Everquest. It's a wonderful difference.
Ah, the gender part:
I belong to the house Dark Tormentors. The name sounds evil because, well, we are evilly aligned. Drow, Trolls, any who call upon an evil god or are agnostic yet evil in nature are welcome. But, as it says on our house charter, one can be evil without being a jerk.
Yes, a world in which even the evil have manners. These manners include being absolutely respectful towards females.
It is so cool to walk around the EQ world and have men willing to be gentlemen for you like days of yesteryear. It's simply amazing to me everytime I hear "madam" or "m'lady"! People have bought drinks for me, given me guided tours, and have been generally so nice! When I first started playing EQ, I was extremely shocked and pleased to find out how nice the world was compared to Diablo II. Whenever I messed up on the game and expected to hear sarcastic criticism, I instead heard gentle correction and guidance. Nobody's ever called me a "fucking noob" on EQ. There, "noob" is not an insult--it's a general label for those who are new. ("Noob" is almost the worst insult on Diablo II--next to "fag".)
Sorry, must cut short but I'm getting distracted by the slightest thing, which means I'm extremely tired. Thank you, Dragonclaw, for the suggestions. Please post more. Anybody post more. I'm not terribly confident in my writing skills, but I do enjoy it. :)
